This ring on my finger

Temptress dances in the night
Soul screams out in holy fright
Persisting now in lessons’ plight
Yet, peering at the pleasing sight
Lost in an instant’s dying fight
Dive within or take to flight
Choice to live by promise’s light
Grace to know the black from white
Tempted by the dark of night
Walk away from hell’s old fight
Salvation’s touch from heaven’s height
Angels leading the sacred flight
God looks on in great delight
Child accepted the sacred invite
Glory chosen again tonight
All the world is set aright
