Day of Great Miracles

The day of great miracles is at hand
Lift me, dear God, to the place where love surrounds
I am lost and alone in this tumultuous world
My spirit has a great need to return to Your love

Passion...

Passion seems to be a critical ingredient in success, regardless of the venue. Those who are passionate, and have a bit of skill, drive toward their goal. That goal needs to be important enough that we will not be dissuaded.

As we overcome the resistance which seems to dwell in most of us, we begin to have small successes. I have had many over the past year or so. Writing the poems to be included in my first book was quite difficult for me; fear of success mostly. Selecting the specific poems to include, selecting the photos; I accomplished that last December. Nine months later, I have assembled about fifty copies, 25 of which I have given to family and friends. Just this week, I received my first two bound and professionally printed books from Shutterfly. I intend to self-publish and market. I work at a very successful web marketing and design firm that will assist. I hope to enter the market this month.

While looking for opportunities, I continued to write. This year, I've written over 400 poems. I am passionate in my quest of distributing my work. It's more than a want, it's a need. It's really not about the money. It's about this gift I have inside. It's all theoretical until I share it. I've shared with many in blogs and on my own website. Publishing is the next step.

Passion drives us...
The path is sometimes treacherous
Oftimes foggy

Faith lights the path
Passion fuels the soul
Friends console
And we create
